Ingredients Required
Mutton/ Buffalo Meat
( Boneless Cubes) 1 kg/ 2.2 lbs
Sliced Onion
100gm (2pc)
Garlic Paste
1 tsp
Ginger Paste
1 tsp
Basmati Rice 1kg
Washed & Socheked in water for 1 hour
Biryani Masala
1 Pkt.
Oil
200ml, 1.5 Cup
Pure Desi Ghee
5 tbs (60ml.) (if desired)
Edible Orange Colour
2 pinch with milk
Salt 2 tsp
for boiling Rice
Steps of Cooking
- Marinate meat with curd-ginger garlic paste and one packet Saud Biryani Masala for 20-30min.
- In a cooker heat oil and fry sliced onion now put marinated meat and further fry 5-8 min. add 1.5 (300ml.) cup of water, cover and cook (Mutton 10- 15 I Buffalo meat 20-30) min. until meat tenders 95% now remove excess oil and keep aside. Gravy should be about 1.5 cup (300ml.) left
- In a large pot heat 3 ltr. (15cup) of water, add soaked rice and 4tsp (50gms.) salt, bring it to boil until rice tenders 80% now remove from heat and drain water completely.
- Spread half rice in a large pot & pour meat curry over it top with remaining rice, sprinkle dissolved food colour & excess oil. Tightly cover and cook 5-7 min. on high heat and 15-20min. on low heat until rice is fully cooked, now open the lid pour 4 tbs pure ghee (if desired) mix before serving with Raita.
